What the session includes
A Total Body Stretch is a 50-minute, practitioner-guided session focused on gentle, targeted stretching techniques. Your practitioner begins with a brief movement assessment, then leads a tailored sequence designed to unlock tight areas, increase range of motion, and promote deep relaxation without manual therapy beyond guided stretches.
During the session the practitioner tunes each stretch to your current mobility and comfort. Expect hands-on guidance that helps you feel safer moving into lengthened positions, and a progressive flow that prioritizes problem areas tied to daily habits like commuting or desk work in the Langdon and greater Washington area.
How results are shaped
Results come from improving joint range and muscle flexibility through repeated, specific stretches and increased body awareness. The work promotes release of stored tension from daily stress, and practitioners may emphasize hip, shoulder, and spine mobility depending on your individual movement patterns and reported areas of stiffness.
Individual responses vary; a single 50-minute session often provides an immediate feeling of relief and reset, while practitioners can recommend follow-up visits or at-home suggestions to sustain progress. Local climate and lifestyle — humid summers, commuting routines, and active neighborhood life — can influence how often clients return.
Before and after care
Before your appointment, plan a brief check-in with the practitioner so they can learn about recent activities, soreness, or limitations. Studio Chique offers flexible early-morning and evening booking to accommodate commuters using the Rhode Island Ave–Brentwood and Brookland-CUA Metro stations, making it practical to fit a 50-minute reset into a busy schedule.
After the session the practitioner will review observations and may offer tailored self-care suggestions and simple movement ideas to maintain mobility. We also promote self-care packages for visitors planning pre- or post-visit relaxation around nearby destinations like the U.S. National Arboretum or Union Market.
