What the service does
A Gel-X Fill & Rebalance restores the visible gap and edge wear that develops as natural nails grow out beneath previous Gel-X applications. The service re-shapes and fills around the natural nail to refresh the enhancement and extend its usable appearance for the wearer, with outcomes typically maintained for approximately 4-6 weeks.
This appointment is a maintenance service rather than a fresh set. It focuses on preserving the existing Gel-X structure while addressing lift, exposed nail, and edge integrity created by normal daily activities and nail growth. Because it is timed to fill and rebalance, scheduling every four to six weeks keeps the finish consistent for most clients.
Policy for outside applications
Gel-X Fill & Rebalance is offered only to clients whose Gel-X applications were originally performed by Studio Chique. If you had Gel-X applied elsewhere, a professional soak-off and re-application are required before a fill can be performed. This ensures product compatibility and a reliable rebalance procedure.
If your nails come from another salon we will assess them and explain whether a soak-off and new application are necessary. That work must be completed by us before a Fill & Rebalance appointment, because mixed application histories affect how the rebalance can be done and the overall durability of the result.
Aftercare and local factors
Longevity depends on natural nail growth, daily activities, and local climate. Washington's humid summers and active commuter lifestyle—especially for weekday clients using Rhode Island Ave–Brentwood or Brookland-CUA Metro stations—can influence how quickly edges wear. Regular hand care and mindful exposure to harsh detergents will help maintain the rebalance between the typical 4-6 week interval.
Studio Chique schedules Gel-X Fill & Rebalance appointments to match busy lives in Langdon and surrounding neighborhoods. The service runs approximately 105 minutes and is priced at $99. We offer flexible early-morning and evening slots for commuters, parents, and shift workers who need convenient maintenance around work and family commitments.
