What the service includes
This Basic Wig Install (Styling & Placing - NO Customization) focuses on accurate placement and finished styling without altering the wig's lace or base. We position the wig for a comfortable, well-fitted result, secure it for daily wear, and style the hair so it looks polished and ready to go when you leave the chair.
Because the service excludes lace customization, the appearance of the hairline and any built-in lace features remain as manufactured. The stylist will use cutting, parting, and styling to blend edges and improve the finished look, but permanent alterations to the lace or base construction are not part of this appointment.
Fit and comfort considerations
A secure install balances hold with scalp comfort. Your stylist evaluates cap size, tension, and placement to reduce pressure points and movement while avoiding unnecessary tightness. If you commute through Rhode Island Ave–Brentwood or Brookland-CUA Metro stations, we recommend noting any comfort priorities at booking so we can plan adjustments within the service scope.
Clients with remaining natural hair should arrive with it flattened or secured; the stylist will work within those constraints to achieve a smooth foundation. Because we do not change the wig base, some fit issues may be better addressed by a wig made to measure or by a separate customization appointment discussed at booking.
Styling and day-to-day wear
The outcome is a styled, wearable wig with a polished finish — a service focused on appearance and security rather than structural changes. The installation cost is $195, and the stylist will shape the wig, set parting, and refine the cut or length for a ready-to-go look. Daily styling needs depend on the wig's original construction and your routine.
Local climate matters: Washington’s humid summers and cool winters can affect how styles hold, so the stylist will shape the wig to accommodate typical seasonal conditions. If you plan outdoor activities near the U.S. National Arboretum or Union Market, mention that during booking so we can prioritize a look that tolerates weather and commuting conditions.
